Carlton’s Unity Cup runneth over with goodwill..

This morning I facilitated an Alexandria Agenda  workshop on Faith & Identity, as part of Carlton Football Club's Interfaith Cup event. There were four faith based schools participating in Scotch College, the Australian International Academy, King David and Simmonds College,  comprising over forty students, it was a stimulating session highlighting common ground whilst respectfully acknowledging difference and individual agency.  Student participation and feedback yielded some promising perspectives on social inclusion and self awareness ‪#‎makechangehappen‬ ‪

Sri Lankan Reconciliation Project

Attended launch tonight of the 'Ancient cultures, new futures' Sri Lankan reconciliation photographic exhibition. Poignant. Poetic. Building on these clusters of ideas and images, the photographs highlight the struggle—often frustrated and thwarted by false [...]

Evidencing a groundswell of support from grassroots sector- there was shared outrage at the failure of government to protect citizens and their freedoms by tirelessly perpetuating racist laws and language deeming Muslims and Islam as forces to be [...]

Last night Luka Lesson's #MorePoetsthanPoliticians show in Brunswick was a stellar success. This album fuses poetry and song with deft success; a rapping novelty in a departure from his previous works. As well, the ensemble of support acts was spectacular! From MC L-Fresh, acts Joel McKerrow Nour Abouzeid Stavros to @amalthepoet Amal Kassir - in [...]
